Wind can lift shingles and pull flashing loose in ways that are hard to see from the ground. A few steps protect your house until the roof gets looked at.
Stay off the roof
A wet, damaged roof is slick and can give way. Look from the ground, and keep clear of downed lines and hanging limbs.
Take photos, catch the water
Photograph the damage outside and any water inside before anything is moved. Then set out buckets and towels and move things away from drips.
Get a roofer to look
Small damage left alone turns into leaks and rot. Have the roof checked soon, even if the leak looks minor.
